They’re collecting hefty checks without breaking a sweat.

Clocking in and cashing out is as easy as pie in the era of remote work. And now, wannabe employees without undergraduate degrees are able to make bank thanks to the prevalence of high-paying posts that don’t require higher education certifications.

“More companies are shifting their hiring focus to job seekers with the right skills, experience, and potential rather than higher education,” noted researchers for FlexJobs, a subscription-based employment board, in a May 2026 report, revealing the top 20 most lucrative work-from-home opportunities sans post-secondary demands.

It’s a revelation that really adds up.

With graduation rates in decline — namely in NYC, which recently experienced the largest year-over-year percentage drop in more than 20 years — and AI fears causing the teens and 20-somethings of Gen Z to drop out of school, the workforce is making space for folks from all walks of life.

Blue-collar breadwinners, such as electricians, raking in annual salaries to the tune of $260,000, are happily hitting the streets for an honest day’s pay. People who prefer remote work, however, have been afforded fewer chances to earn big from home gigs — until now.

FlexJobs identified high-yielding, commute-free positions that typically do not require a bachelor’s degree.

Spanning a wide range of industries and salaries, the list of jobs includes everything from tutor to travel agent, bookkeeper to medical billing specialist.
