Bangalore Fashion Week featured an ethereal men’s and women’s clothing collection by designer Abhishek Dutta on the runway. The designer celebrated nature and femininity by bringing butterflies to life with winged gowns and airy layers.

As the show-stopper for Abhishek Dutta, South Indian actress Akshaya Alshi wore a sparkling shirt with butterfly-inspired forms and blue and orange hareem trousers emblazoned with a huge butterfly wing motif. The collection’s focal point was the unique butterfly wing print, which was also available in rust and orange tones and was used on a variety of items, including men’s shirts, maxi dresses, and draped kaftans.

To make the collection’s vivid designs more wearable, menswear included more traditional features like black fitted trousers. For ladies, asymmetry was employed to create a modern vibe, while grecian-style drapes gave movement to the collection’s soft textiles.

In addition to student showcases by upcoming designers from the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology in Bilaspur, Bangalore Fashion Week featured runway shows by designers and brands such as Alexander and Sanjay M, Anamika Jaisinghani, and Butterfly Clothing and Accessories by Rishan Pariat.
