MILAN — Former Space NK chief commercial officer Margaret Mitchell is the latest high-profile talent joining Italian beauty brand Kiko Milano.

Mitchell, who left the British beauty retailer after a decade, will cover the role of executive vice president North and Central Europe and global commercial strategy effective Aug. 25, reporting directly to chief executive officer Simone Dominici.

“Margaret brings a combination of strategic vision, commercial expertise and international experience that will be invaluable as we continue to expand globally,” said Dominici. “She has a strong track record of building high-performing businesses and teams, and I’m confident she will play an important role in the next phase of our growth, helping us strengthen our commercial capabilities while keeping our customers at the center of every decision.”

“Kiko Milano is redefining the beauty market with its product innovation, creativity and store experience,” echoed Mitchell. She enthused about joining “this dynamic brand to introduce it to new customers and channels, and help reinforce the mission to be a global leader in beauty.”

Leveraging nearly two decades of international experience across beauty, retail and consulting, Mitchell will be tasked to oversee the growth of Kiko Milano especially in France; Benelux; Nordics; DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and Poland; and the U.K. and Ireland, as well as shape its global commercial strategy across channels spanning from travel retail to digital wholesale.

Her appointment is part of Kiko Milano’s broader strategy of beefing up its leadership team with high-profile names to enhance its brand awareness and support its next phase of growth.

Most recently, Marcello Mastrogiacomo joined the company in the role of global executive vice president brand, communication and media. He reports to Drew Elliott, who joined Kiko as chief brand officer in 2025, exiting his previous role as global creative director at MAC Cosmetics.

Mastrogiacomo moved to Kiko Milano from Gucci, where he was global vice president marketing, media and digital. He began his career at P&G Prestige before joining Coty in 2016, where he took on increasingly senior roles, up to leading Gucci Beauty’s worldwide communications. He later held senior global roles at Dior Beauty and Armani Beauty.

At Kiko Milano, Mastrogiacomo oversees global communications, social media and media, focusing on expanding the brand’s visibility, strengthening its international positioning and cultural relevance and building connections with consumers worldwide.

Earlier this year, Kiko Milano also tapped Marcelo Gutierrez as its first global makeup artistry creative director, banking on his experience and artistic vision to enhance its product development and creative campaigns.

The Colombian makeup artist is known for his impactful looks, having worked with celebrities spanning from Charli XCX to Madonna. No wonder shortly after he joined the beauty brand, Kiko Milano announced the latter talent as its second global ambassador, following Emma Roberts in 2024.

At the time, Roberts’ announcement closely followed the financial backing Kiko Milano secured from L Catterton. As reported, in 2024 the private equity fund backed by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton took a majority stake in the company. This helped L Catterton to lock the 46th spot in WWD Beauty Inc’s annual ranking of the world’s largest beauty companies by sales that was released earlier this year, with estimated beauty sales of $1.09 billion for 2025.

Established in 1997 by entrepreneurs Antonio and Stefano Percassi, Kiko Milano represents the core of L Catterton’s beauty portfolio, with the brand’s estimated sales up 7.5 percent to 967 million euros in 2025 versus the previous year. Last year, Kiko Milano’s sales in the Americas grew 61.3 percent versus 2024, while those in Asia and Europe were up 30.9 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.

In 2025, the brand opened 132 new stores and expanded in six new countries, including Kenya, Congo, Ivory Coast, Slovenia, Ghana and Guadalupe. New sales points included 38 directly operated units — 10 of which are in department stores — and 86 outposts in franchising. Kiko Milano also collaborated with Douglas; with Amazon Beauty and TikTok Shop for the U.S., and entered in Ulta in the Middle East and Africa region. It additionally strengthened its presence in Latin America, especially in Brazil and Mexico, and relaunched in India in partnership with Reliance.
